New Buildings for the "Fur Folk"
Tax deductible
C.A.R.E. was founded in 1992, and in 1998 we opened a no-kill cage-free Sanctuary on three acres of land in Littlerock, CA, in the Antelope Valley.
We are participating in the national effort to "Save Them All" by accepting little ones who would otherwise be killed. Our Sanctuary is "home sweet home" to more than 300 rescued cats and dogs at any one time, of varying ages, health status and adoptability - until their forever homes are found or life. C.A.R.E. provides lifetime medical treatment for our residents with chronic but manageable illnesses, whether they are ferals, "behaviorally challenged," or elderly.
We raised over $60,000 on our old GoFundMe page but started a new one since our old one won't allow updates. Long story short, we are building two large 72 x 48-foot buildings equipped with swamp coolers and heaters with an indoor and outdoor space for each rescued dogs. We have quite a few older dogs, and we want them to be cozy, especially on cold winter days. In the High Desert, temperatures reach over 100 in the summer and below freezing in the winter. The cats are housed in a house built in the 1950s and desperately needs upgrades and expansion. We are halfway finished but will need lots more funding to finish up.
We've come a long way since 1992, but we still have a long way to go. Our survival and future depend on your friendship and generosity; together, we can help thousands more homeless cats and dogs. Without you, "Save Them All" would only be a sweet dream!
