Cari Allen

Hello All. My name is Taji, and I have been close friends with Cari for 19 years. Cari has been missing since November 20th, and there is a warrant out for her kidnapping. However, her family is devastated and doing everything in the realm of possibilities to locate her. Unfortunately, there are far more questions than answers at this time.

Cari is a humble spitfire who can bring laughter and humility to any situation. Those who know her best can attest that she is the ultimate hype girl- always lending a thoughtful ear or a wise word. Cari also wears many hats: daughter, friend, caregiver, and of course, her favorite, mom. Cari’s relationship with her son can easily be summed up in five words: He. Is. Her. Whole. World.

Cari has spent her career devoted to caring for others, particularly those with developmental disabilities. After graduating from Buena Vista University with a degree in human services, she began a career working with the underserved population. Vodec, a non-profit organization, was her work home for 14 years. During this time, she built long-lasting and meaningful relationships throughout the community. In continuation of growth, Cari went on to obtain her MBA. She used that knowledge base to propel her mission of helping others and even developed a new program before moving on to serve this population in a new role.

In this time of uncertainty, assistance in supporting search efforts is undoubtedly needed. We are wanting to start a fundraiser to maintain Cari’s affairs until she has been found. Additionally, funds will be dedicated to creating materials that may help locate her (flyers, media ads, etc.).
