Caring for abandoned cats in Hollywood Florida 2025

Donation protected
Hi, my name is Tom,
I want to thank everyone who donated last year.
I came close to reaching my goal.
Last years donations really helped with what it cost for me to care for these amazing kitties, I an glad to do this.
Actually lucky to be doing this..
I also got many young kitties and kittens adopted out of the park in 2024.
There are currently about 35 cats living at the park.
They do not have an easy life but I try my best to make things easier for them by keeping the well fed, shown affection and clean.
The all have names and the greeting i get when I arrive every day is amazing.
I feed and care for them every day, realty good quality food and haven't missed a day in six years.
Please help me continue to care for them in 2025..
2025 is going to be a very challenging year for the cats that live in the park.
There is going to be a major renovation going on starting in February.
Construction will last at least five months and will be very loud and scare the cats.
There is some good news!!
The gentleman who is in charge of the renovation for the City of Hollywood is a cat lover and has committed to building a cat shelter in the park.
He has been very supportive of my caring for the kitties as have been several people with City of Hollywood.
I am seeking donations to help with neutering. vaccinating, veterinary care and feeding kittens and cats that have been abandoned in Hollywood Florida
I am also working on starting a nonprofit to help care for abandoned cats.
My goal is to raise money to feed, spay, neuter and provide veterinary care for abandoned cats, to try to find good homes for cats and kittens that are capable of living in a home and to feed care for the ones that must remain feral.
I also want to help others who care for abandoned cats and have donated food to other people who feed feral cats in Hollywood in 2024.
With nonprofit status, I would be eligible for donations from pet supply retailers to help me and others care for and feed abandoned cats and kittens,
Now I would like to share what got me started.......
While I was walking my dog four years ago in a local park I saw a few cats, brought the dog home and went back with some cat food.
I put the food in a bowl on the ground and 10 cats came to eat, and there were more watching but too shy to come out while I was there,
They were dirty, skinny and hungry.
I knew that they needed help and I had to do something.
I started feeding and caring for them and it became every day, for four years now.
They all have names and I have grown very fond of them.
There are more than 35 of them.
New cats and kittens are abandoned there regularly.
People just decide the cat is not for them and toss them in a park.
More than once I have seen people drive in and toss a cat out of the car window.
There are always newly abandoned cats and kittens in the park.
It takes some time to gain their trust so I can catch them and get them checked by a vet, vaccinated and neutered and most importantly adopted.
I am seeking donations to help with their care,
Food is costing more than $500 per month Vet care cost even more and I am seeking help so I can continue to care for them through 2025.
Any donation will help.
These cats and kittens do not have an easy life,
Please help me make life a little easier for them,
Thanks for reading this.......
