Caring For Diana Carcano

Donation protected
Hi, We are fundraising for a wonderful educator, Diana Carcano. Diana graduated from Edinburg High School in 1981. She has worked in the English Department at UTPA, was an MISD employee from 2000 to 2016 at Lincoln Junior High & McAllen High School. Currently, she is working full-time at UTRGV in the GEAR UP program. She also devotes time after work tutoring children. She has a gift and loves teaching children and helping others. Diana is a very kind woman and significantly impacts every student/person she works with. Unfortunately, her medical debt from the past decade is extremely high & causing severe stress. January 1, 2023 - Diana was admitted to hospital with COVID, pneumonia, influenza A & B, rhinovirus, adenovirus, and hypoxia & continues to experience difficulty with speech, mobility, and extreme pain. Dr. orders are to stay home from work minimum of 6 weeks. 90% of that will be UNPAID LEAVE. The January 1, 2023 to January 4, 2023 hospital bill alone is $10,000. She suffered a mini-stroke this past Fall, and has battled three types of cancers over the past 10 years. Her health is in a fragile state. We ask those who care for Diana to join her family and donate to help cover her recent medical and monthly bills. Diana has a heart of gold and always helps those in need. A few examples are: she helped raise money for The Rainbow Room (assists child protective services families) & fundraised to gift Gear Up a Christmas Gift this past Fall Semester. She always places others first. One way we can help her body heal is to alleviate some of the extreme financial stress. Let's come together and help Diana by donating to her Go Fund Me. #CaringForDianaCarcano

Thank you,
