Shortly after the birth of their second child, The Campana's world was flipped upside down. What was thought to be an ongoing sinus infection, sadly was not. On 11/9/20 Justin received the horrific news that he has cancer. Justin is a loving husband and wonderful father to two beautiful children; a newborn girl and three-year-old boy.
Justin has been diagnosed with stage 4 Alveolar Rhabdomyosarcoma. This is a rare cancer of soft tissues, which started in his sinuses. Since this diagnosis, Justin and his family have been through a rollercoaster of events. Originally, he was misdiagnosed. He has had surgery, multiple hospitalizations, and countless doctors appointments. Justin has even flown to Texas in hopes of being treated at the renowned MD Anderson, but was turned away based on the original misdiagnosis.
Justin is now receiving wonderful care at Moffitt Cancer Center. He has an amazing team and sarcoma specialist fighting for him. His treatment plan will be rigorous. Currently, he is getting weekly chemotherapy and daily radiation therapy. He will also continue to have multiple doctor appointments each week.
Justin has been nothing short of courageous on this path to recovery. Due to his intense treatment plan, he is unable to work and provide for his family. Please consider contributing to the Caring for the Campanas fund to help lessen the burden of medical bills.
Most importantly, please keep Justin and his beautiful family in your thoughts and prayers.
