Caring Teachers Lynn and Eric Need Your Help

Our dear friend Eric Faucher, after a 20 year remission from pharyngeal cancer, has been fighting the battle of his life after this cancer returned in January 2020. It has weakened the walls of the arteries in his neck. Several emergency surgeries have kept death at bay but treatment for the cancer is no longer an option.

Eric has entered hospice care and his greatest wish is that his remaining time, whether weeks or months, be spent in the small forest home he and his wife, Lynn, share in Portland Oregon.

Friends are rallying to help as much as possible but hospice does not pay for the daily care he requires. He and Lynn need help with the financial burdens, as he requires around-the-clock care during the time he has left.

Eric is many things: a loyal and loving partner to Lynn, a trusted friend to many, a teacher of at-risk youth, a skilled journalist and writer, a sea kayaker, a student of paleontology, a fly fisherman and a “closet” guitar player. He has given freely of his gifts and now has a need for us to give back. Donations of $20, $100, $1000 will be greatly appreciated.
