Writer/Speaker Workshop - SEND ME!!

I have been on my journey to become a motivational writer and speaker. Along the way, I have had blatant nudges and shoves from my universe, higher power, whatever you call it. I have listened and followed these nudges.

Knowing my journey has taken me down many roads involving a microphone, I finally realized where I need to be. For so long I thought I was here to sing on stage or be an on-air personality. I did both, but in doing so I realized that was not the "it" I was destined to do, but it was important for my journey to get me there.

With my many stories, strength and nuggets of wisdom, I am here to share all of me via words written and spoken.

What is my story? From when I was born through 11 years old, my mother was married five times. The first four men were violent, alcoholics and abusive to us and our mother. The life we experienced was hell, but it was all we knew. We moved 27 times by the time I started 6th grade and we weren't military. Her fifth husband was not abusive or an alcoholic. To anyone on the outside, from 6th through 12th grade, we appeared to be living a 'normal' life. Sadly, you can't take the history, pain and suffering away just because you put a clean dress on it.

It took me years, but I worked through the pain and was completely able to let go of the resentments I had built from my childhood. I no longer felt the need to blame my mother or anyone for the choices I would make as an adult.

With this healing, it only opened up the power I had felt inside all along. I am now striving to speak to those that I can touch and hope to change their lives. I had the power in my ruby slippers, but most people don't; my mother being one of them. It is hard to make life changing decisions. When you finally do, you feel the strength in your choice and your power to move on. It's an incredible feeling. I am here to empower others to feel the same and repair their brokenness.

I've been going through an online school to learn how to promote my business. Many of the people going through it signed up as affiliates of Hay House. Seeing the name in print during this class was the first time Hay House came back into my life. I hadn't even thought about it since my life changed. As affiliates, they received a writers workshop from Hay House at no charge. I sent a note to Hay House telling them I was in the same school and asked how I get the free writers workshop. They put it in my cart and let me check out at no charge. This workshop is normally $995!

Hay House was put in front of me again (universe nudge) as this is exactly the path I need to take; this is the company that needs to hear my message. They only employ writers with spiritual messages and a unique twist. I know the importance of being noticed and sticking out in the crowd. Here is my chance to do just that; stick out in their eyes.

Hay House has a write/speak program this August in my backyard. They are hosting a week long workshop on a ship, sailing from Vancouver, B.C.; a few hours up the road from my home in Washington.

These workshops give the attendees the opportunity to win a publishing contract and be seen by the principals at Hay House. At this crossroad in my life, I need desperately to be on that ship and connect with Reid and others that will be on board. There are other opportunities as well including hosting a radio program. Being able to let them hear my story and see my manuscript; this could be the life catapult I've been waiting for all along..

I truly believe what they are looking for is what I bring to the party. I need help to get there! The rate for a single room with taxes is almost $4,000. I am not interested because it is a cruise. I am solely interested as I will be on a ship with these important people and the chance for them to see me and hear my story is greater than on my chances on land. It does help to know we will all be locked on the vessel together. Once we rub elbows, it will only be a matter of time.
