Carjacking of 61 YO driver in Toronto

Hi!

My name is Vitomir Asler and every year during Summer and early Fall I bring local berries from a farm to my friends and buyers in Toronto. Yesterday, on Aug 9, 2021, during an extreme heat warning, I was making a delivery and decided to leave my car and AC running for a bit in order, to bring fresh local strawberries, raspberries and blueberries to my friends in Lawrence Park. What started as a normal hot day, evolved into a hot crime scene and is best explained by this video. My car, a 2017 Honda HR-V, with fresh berries, was stolen, right before my eyes.

I made a great effort to support my cause and have one reliable car. Now, I am left with NO CAR, NO BERRIES and NO SECURITY. Just a strange feeling of emptiness and victimization. This has been a particularly difficult year for all of us and I hope these feelings won't last, but in the middle of summer and during a spike of Covid and violent car thefts, carjackings it is really hard. I am hoping to raise money to get a new car so that I can continue .
