Help Carl Fight Stage 4 Cancer

Our dad, Carl Perkins, was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer and needs your help! He is fighting the battle of his life against a rare and aggressive form of cancer in the bile ducts and liver called Intrahepatic Cholangiocarcinoma.
Carl is a loving family man, loyal father, and respected community member residing in Joplin, Missouri. He was diagnosed in May 2022 and has just begun treatment. Although he has insurance this year, the copays are extreme. It has brought tremendous financial stress to him and his family.
This type of cancer is usually controlled by permanent chemo maintenance for the remainder of life. So far, he has continued to work through his illness but many days are difficult to do so. Our father is the sole provider of his home and would benefit greatly from any financial support which will allow him to concentrate on his ongoing treatment.
After a sordid past, Carl entered long-term recovery from a substance use disorder in August of 2000, and he continues to pay it forward in his work, community, and life. After entering recovery, our dad has consistently done everything in his power to be an honest and caring man, touching all those in which he comes in contact. He takes care of his family, gives to his community, and serves those around him. He is a man that always gives to others but never takes. With that being said, he now needs our help.
In his 22 years of recovery, he has made many professional and educational triumphs.
He worked for Good Will Builders, Inc. as the president of the company and utilized his realtor license within that. In 2011, Carl graduated from Missouri Southern State University obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology. At the same time, he was raising three of his children that were still at home. He continued his education at Missouri State University, obtaining his Master of Social Work degree in 2017. He became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has worked for Ascent Recovery Residences for 10 years now. He is a Program Director and has helped many addicts of all ages transform their lives for better. He is patient; he is humble; he is dedicated; he is a servant.
Carl is inspirational within the accomplishments he has made. But most of all, he did it for his family, community, and God. As his youngest daughter, dad has been the rock that has held our family together. We must help him, as he has helped us. I still need my dad. We still need our dad. We pray daily for his survival. Will you help?
