Carl Freyer Memorial

If you have kids who play hockey in Stittsville then it’s likely you have crossed paths with Carl Freyer and if you have, you would remember it. Carl was a boisterous man who loved nothing better than to be on the sidelines cheering on his boys and sharing his opinions with anyone who stopped to chat.

To complement Carl’s outgoing nature, he was fortunate enough to meet and marry his wife Jangyoung Yoo. In their 23-year marriage they had their two sons, Izaia and Edison. Carl and Jangyoung spent endless hours supporting their boys in their sporting activities, traveling and creating memories.

His sudden and unexpected passing on Thursday September 19th, 2024, at the age of 58 has left a huge hole not only in his family, but also in his neighbourhood and the larger Stittsville community.

We are hoping to raise funds to help offset funeral expenses in support of his family as they face their unimaginable grief. Any contribution would be appreciated and will go a long way in helping them through this incredibly painful time.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday October 26th, 2024, from 11:00-1:00 at the Highland Park, 2037 McGee Side Road, Carp, Ontario K0A 1L0.
