Carl James Loehr Memorial Fund
Donation protected
In memorial of Carl J. Loehr (June 20th, 1947 - May 4th, 2020), a father of 2, Navy submarine veteran and maritime professional who was dedicated to his family, his country and his work. Loved and cherished by many in his community and in his field. Carl spent the last 8 years of his life fighting kidney failure caused by IgA nephropathy and a fighter he certainly was until the very end.
This fund was set up for those who wish to donate to his memorial services and expenses which includes his crematory service, urn, ash spreading and celebration of life ceremony (to be held post COVID19 measures). The fund will be ongoing until 7 days before his proposed service date pending the release of the 50 or more public gatherings ban.
All proceeds beyond the cost of memorial services will be donated to DaVita Dialysis Clinic to help patients currently struggling with similar diseases and treatments. Dialysis is very hard on the organs and physically demanding on patients, most of which who need extra help on a daily basis.
