Carl Mayes Jr. Motorcycle Accident

Carl Mayes Jr. was in a devastating motorcycle accident on May 6, 2022. We are so thankful that his life was spared.

He is currently at UAMS stable and alert but suffering from multiple serious injuries including 7 broken ribs, broken shoulder, clavicle, elbow and nose.

The neurosurgeons cleared his head injury and moved him out of ICU but the doctors are now carefully monitoring internal bleeding including his lungs.

He is in a significant amount of pain and the road to recovery is daunting.

Most of the people in our community know him as he has built, remodeled or repaired many of the houses around here. He is a hard working man of integrity and is respected by those he works for and with. As a single father raising 3 girls whose craft is dependent upon the function of his body, this accident will have far reaching effect.

He is proud and on some level will be mortified that we have started this Go-Fund-Me. But the real world is - expenses and life don't stop to grieve or give you time for recovery.

Many of you have asked what you can do. We know that no one here can do it alone. But chipping in together we can make a dent and more than that, let this family know that we love them and care.
