Carl Pierson’s Bucket List to Fenway

Hi!! My name is Kari Wald-Gales and I am Mitchell, SD classmate of Carl Pierson. Carl is one of the greatest guys I have had the pleasure to know! Carl not only was a classmate, my Powder Puff football coach, sports lover and player, friend, but is a graduate of Northern State in Aberdeen, SD and has been a successful husband, dad, teacher, coach and author. In early February, Carl was diagnosed with esophageal cancer that has moved to other areas of his body and he quoted, “Tim McGraw’s song ‘Live Like You Were Dying’ has been playing in his head. As such a bright light, Carl says, “I am trying to look at this prognosis as a blessing and do a few things on the ‘Bucket List’ including saying, ‘I Love You and Goodbyes’ as “many don’t get that gift”.

As part of this gift his classmates and friends would like to help Carl get to something on his “Bucket List” he shared… Going to Fenway Park in Boston, MA. Our goal is to see him there with his wife Jean and their sons Colton and Boston.
