Hello Friends and Family,
It is with a heavy heart that I have to inform you that I lost my father, Carl R. Eads, unexpectedly on Sunday, February 11th. Carl was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend who touched the lives of so many around him. He dedicated his life to this country as he served in the United States Air Force for 9 years and fought in the Vietnam War. He was an Air Force Communications Sergeant. He was a proud letter carrier for the United State Post Office for more than 20 years. He took an early retirement from them in the early 90s. Even more than his commitment to his country and his work, he dedicated his life to his family. He was the quintessential family man. He loved being a dad and even more so, he loved being a grandfather to my two boys Austin and Tyler.
Many of you know him as a full-of-life, grandiose man, with a commanding voice and an even bigger and louder heart. And if you didn’t know him, that wouldn’t have lasted for long. My father always had a way of making you feel like you were just two old friends, spending time together and catching up. He truly never met a stranger in his life, everyone was a friend.
Unfortunately, my father did not have a funeral expense/life insurance plan in place. We never expect our last day to come so swiftly. We are all devastated by Carl’s loss and are not prepared for the high cost of his services. As a family, we want to give my father the memorial he deserves to honor his service to this country and his memory, and say our last goodbyes. We thank you for any help towards these significant costs as we continue to work towards raising funds to follow my father’s wishes. My father asked for his remains to be cremated and his ashes to be disbursed at sea. The total cremation and celebration-of-life-ceremony-at-sea cost is $10,000. We need to raise $5,000 by February 29th in order to be able to afford the cremation service. The rest will be put towards the celebration of life held at a later date. Any amount you can donate is greatly appreciated.
Please consider donating, as any amount will truly help our family during this difficult time.
My heart is struggling with this request as I know it is a big ask of you during these uncertain times. I am doing my best to set aside my own pride to just put it out there. My family thanks you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Enjoy each day to the fullest. Life is precious.
