I started training for a pro wrestling career in 1983. In 1985 I signed with Mid South Promotions in Bixby Oklahoma. It was one of the biggest Federations in the United States. I became friends with Kamala Dick Murdock and Bill Dundee.
In 1987 Hector Guerro and I won the A.W.A. world tag team championship belts in Memphis Tennessee. Later in my career, I wrestled wearing a mask as Dr. Diabolo. In 1989 I became friends with Don Owens and Roddy Piper. I became the Northwest Heavy Weight Champion, as well as the T.U. Champion. I gladly donated my time and participated numerous telethons, as well as going to the eye bank during my championship run.
In November of 2017 I was in a match in Clayton Georgia and tore a quadriceps tendon bringing my career to a screeching halt. My lifelong passion has been to bring great entertainment to all the wonderful wrestling fans. I have been out of work for over a year and half. I was blessed to have an amazing surgeon and trainer. It has taken brutal hard work and focused persistence, but I have ultimately and finally made a complete recovery.
It now pains me but I am reaching out to the many wrestling fans for I am in need with medical bills and finances to get back up on my feet. I have created a Go Fund Me page. Please go to Carl Styles at Face Book and YouTube to check out videos and information.
