Carl Wegner Memorial Race

In 1974, Carl Wegner, purchased a 350 acre farm in central Wisconsin to get away from the city. He and his wife Jane commuted to Milwaukee each day before starting Wegner Automotive in 1975 in a machine shed in the back yard. Originally it was just one man and his passion to do each project greater than the last one. Flanked by a few friends working part time Carl worked on everything from local Hot Rods to pickup trucks and even an occasional farm tractor. Carl was an innovator, always seeking ways to make engines more affordable and looking out for short track racing in Wisconsin.

As a result of Carl's passing this spring, we are raising money for the Carl Wegner Memorial Race to be held at Slinger Speedway on June 23rd.
