Carlisle Flood Recovery Assistance
TheGunDock family and friends,
My name is Brad Bussell and I currently reside in Paris, KY but Carlisle will always be considered home to me. Many of my family and friends still live there and I enjoy visiting as often as I can.
In the early morning hours of July 30th, Carlisle, KY experienced flash flooding unlike in recent memory. Many families are left without homes and many are unsafe to live in. Sadly, even the loss of life wasn't preventable.
We are reaching out through social media to anyone who would like to donate during these hard times for our hometown.
Effective immediately, we are opening up our facility as a hub to accept donations. We will see to it that those items are delivered to Carlisle quickly and given to the city officials or those responsible for distribution.
What is needed:
* Food (Also destroyed was their only grocery store)
* Water
* Clothes and Shoes (Mens, Womens, Kids)
* Totes or Boxes
* Hygiene Products
* Cleaning Supplies
* Storage Supplies
Donations are being accepted in order to provide the items listed above. We've already purchased and delivered many dehumidifiers, box ffans, A/C units, totes, water, bleach, blankets, pillows, various hygiene products and toiletries.
Our plan for delivering is by making ustilizing a team of volunteers to make supply runs to the surrounding communties, (Maysville, Mt. Sterling, Paris, Lexington, and Georgetown) and hand delivering to the affected homes for the first 3 to 5 days after the flood. After that, we will be coordinating with the city officials at both the old and new armory for distribution.
