Carlos Montoya Amaya's Remembrance & Family

Hello everyone,

This is the family of Carlos Montoya Amaya. Our hearts ache to announce that Carlos passed away on the morning of July 17th, 2023. He leaves behind three beautiful children. Isabella Montoya, Dax Montoya, & Drew Montoya. We are here to humbly ask if you could offer financial aid for funeral expenses & his children. Any amount will help & we greatly appreciated it.

Born on June 26th, 1992, Carlos was the first son & second child of Tomas Montoya & Maria Amaya. Following behind an older sister, he became an older brother to a sister and two brothers. Number two out of five. Instantly becoming a leading support to all of his siblings.

After learning how to walk and use his hands, he immediately had a knack for fixing anything that could be taken apart mechanically. Granted, at that age, it was more of an attempt at repair than the act of repairing. A lot of items were left unfinished because he would quickly turn his focus to another project. At the age of around 6 years old, he was caught with swollen & bloody fingers because he was taking apart his bicycle with his bare hands, in an act I believe was purely out of curiosity. He always needs to figure out how something operated to the smallest detail. Growing up, you could not find him anywhere but underneath a car with murky engine oil dripping off of his hair, in his room on his computer that he built, or with his friends and family causing a ruckus of laughter & smiles.

After High School, he enrolled in Lincoln College of Technology. In the middle of his studies, he had his first child. His Daughter, Isabella Montoya, was born on 01/23/2011. In the midst of completing his courses, he stayed true to being a father, acquiring his ASE certification when Izzy was between 1-2 years old. Becoming a master mechanic and the absolute best mechanic that I know.

After blessing countless people & shops with his craft for multiple years, his first son, Dax Montoya, was born on March 28th, 2016. After a few years of living in Baltimore, Maryland, he moved down to Winston-Salem, North Carolina with his wife. Creating wonderful memories with everyone he came into contact with. He quickly became a staple in the community, as he always has. After several joy-filled years, his second son, Drew Montoya, was born on November 29th, 2022. A loving Father who was constantly attempting to improve himself for his wife and three children.

Carlos was fun, energetic and moved to his own beat and we loved him for that. His passing was sudden and unexpected. He will be missed dearly, all donations will go towards the funeral cost and his family.
