Hi my name is Fernando Menjivar. Our beloved grandfather passed away while visiting us in Canada from El Salvador, turning what was meant to be a joyful family reunion into a time of deep sorrow. Having him here with us, even briefly, was a blessing—we shared stories, laughter, and love that will forever be cherished. Though his passing was unexpected, we are grateful he spent his final days surrounded by family. His warmth, wisdom, and unwavering love will remain in our hearts always.

I am starting this GoFundMe to help alleviate the financial burden on my parents due to the unexpected medical expenses and the high cost of international repatriation to send my grandfather’s body back to his home country of El Salvador. His passing has been incredibly hard on our family, and we want to honor his wish of resting in his homeland.
