Carlos Vladimir Memorial

Hello family and friends, my name is Estela. Carlos's cousin.

My cousin was the sweetest and the most present dad I know; On his days off you would often find him exploring the local mountains and beaches with his two daughters. Genesis, 12 years old and Angie, 4 years old. Carlos was diagnosed with cancer in October 2021. He had a challenging but very short journey fighting for his life that ended on March 06 2022.

He was loved by many, not only by his family but everyone he came in contact with. He has been a health worker at UCLA-Westwood for the last thirteen years.

He always made himself available to help a neighbor, friend, or family. He impacted everyone he came in contact with; Following, I will share a quick story as an example of his effect on people: Today, I helped his wife make a call to SuperCuts; we called to inquire about canceling a monthly haircut subscription. I explained to the lady on the phone the situation, she asked me his name, when I told her that his name was Carlos Romero, she broke down and started crying on the phone and expressed how sorry they were to lose him; she said that his smile always cheered them up and he will be greatly missed. Carlos was always cheerful and turned every opportunity to spend time with his two girls and wife. His girls meant the world to him. He lived a beautiful life with his treasured family. We all miss him dearly and are in disbelief of the loss.
