Carly Rotert beat cancer
Donation protected
Hello, my name is Dakota Tysseling and I have created this Go Fund Me account for my little sister, Carly Rotert, who has just been diagnosed with Hodgkin’s Lymphoma.
Carly is only 23 years old and has always been a hard worker. She is always there to help and support her family and friends with anything they may need and is now needing our help.
Carly was just married October 15th, 2022 and was looking forward to starting their next chapter together as husband and wife, but received the shocking and devastating news just a few short weeks after saying “I do”.
What started out as what she assumed was just an ear ache and possible heart burn, soon led to a doctors appointment. A chest X-ray showed a large mass pushing against her trachea just outside of her lungs and heart.
After a CT, PET scan, and biopsy of the large mass pushing against her trachea, a minor surgery to place a port was performed. These tests uncovered another 2 masses in her chest near her heart and lungs and also showed irregular activity in the pericardium as well as a jugular blood clot which may or may not have resulted from her biopsy. She had a bone marrow biopsy this morning and is still awaiting an MRI and further testing to determine what stage of lymphoma she is in. After that is determined, treatment will start.
Any amount of money donated will be useful in the aid of her treatment and recovery. Not only has Carly been missing a significant amount of work due to all of the different tests but her husband has been very supportive and is also missing work to drive Carly to all of her appointments. Carly just accepted a new job a couple of months ago and while her boss and coworkers have been very understanding, she doesn’t have PTO yet. Between their normal monthly bills, incoming medical bills, medicine, gas for commuting to appointments, groceries, etc, etc, any amount you can donate will be helpful and extremely appreciated. Words of encouragement and prayers are appreciated as well.
I will continue to update everyone as we get more answers. Thank you!
