Carly's Cancer Journey

Hello Family and Friends,

 

As many of you may already know Carly has been diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer, more specifically an aggressive type known as Follicular Cancer. She is currently stable and home resting after having undergone surgery two weeks ago for tumor removal. 

 

Carly was informed of this growing mass only a few months ago at a routine doctor's visit. Since then, she has had several blood tests, ultrasounds and biopsies completed in the last few weeks. All of this culminating with the removal of the cancerous mass from her neck.

 

Once Carly has fully recovered from surgery she will begin radioactive treatments for a series of months (current duration of treatments unknown). She will also have regular cancer screens for the next 5 years in addition to taking daily medication to replace the function of her thyroid.

 

You can imagine the mental health toll this would present to anyone but especially a single mother of two young girls. The road to being declared cancer free will be a long one for Carly so any and all prayers and well wishes that can be offered during this difficult time are much appreciated! We’d love for all her family, friends, and extended community to come together and offer support this Holiday season. Any donation, either big or small, monetary, or supplementary will be a hug help in the coming months.
