Carmelo Sebastian Rodriguez passed away May 1st 2020 due to a subarachnoid hemorrhage at his home in San Diego, CA. He was only 23 years old, and leaves behind a strong willed mother Maria Rodriguez, his father Carmelo Zepeda, and older brother Hector Rodriguez. Carmelo was a loving son, grandson, brother, nephew, cousin, uncle and dear friend to many. He was loved by everyone and he will be missed. Carmelo was very loyal, happy, giving, and goofy. He loved living life to the fullest, learned a lot from his mistakes. Music was his go-to, he even made his own little freestyle flows like lyricist.
While many of us have our own individual stories and memories with Carmelo, mine began the day he was born. He's my second child whom was born on February 5th 1997. He put me through challenges and obstacle courses that we both achieved together. Carmelo had lots of passion, worked hard to get to where he was at and very dedicated to whatever he put his mind to. He was strong driven and wanted to succeed especially with work, he wanted more. He enjoyed living Downtown San Diego. He also enjoyed helping others whether it was their next meal or a warm place to lay their head.
At this time, we would like to support Maria, Carmelo, and Hector in the most fitting manner possible. Due to the Covid-19 we are unable to physically fundraise as a community. For those looking to offer their support to Carmelo's family, we ask that you consider making a donation to this GoFundMe campaign, and encourage you to please share with your network of friends and family. We realize offering financial support to the Rodriguez family at this time may be difficult for some. Please note that any amount is appreciated tremendously as we work closer to reaching our goal.
