Carmen, Lemon and Kennys Long Term Recovery Home

hello friends and lovers. For decades you have seen me move constantly and I have never been able to live in a home for more than 2 years my entire life. Lots of this is because of class and lifestyle clashes and it’s clear I need to live on my own for a very long time to recover. I am hoping to find a habitable home that will sustain me for 7 years to treat my illnesses so they do not get worse. I’ll be moving to Tucson and am staunch on finding lodging that is climate controlled, habitable, safe, sound, and has the abilify for me to cook, bathe and work. It’s been decades of shit holes and I need help to break out. Here’s my breakdown of it all and more context below:

$1500 security deposit

$1500 first months rent/overlap rent with old place

$1500 moving labor, equipment and cleaning

$1000 close out storage shed in Oakland, renter application fees, utility set up deposits

$500 computer repair

Housing

I am living in an illegal unit with no heating or ventilation that is under 200 Sq feet and paying a lot of money for it. I have been unable to cook a meal without great difficulty for almost a year. My work has suffered too as having no space for a work desk and computers has made my professional services business tank along with not being able to apply for remote work since I do not have the equipment or space for a functioning office. Bathing is a nightmare where I get about 8 minutes of hot water if I am lucky with a shower and the walls are falling apart.

Work

I am doing sex work and a myriad of my other trades and services. However two of my devices need repair and my space does not allow me to be in operation. A new home that allows for the space to work remotely will bear immediate returns in my life.

Health

My health is declining and the best medicine for me is a stable habitable living environment for myself and my dogs. I have been diagnosed with Neutrophilia Disorder which is a precursor to leukemia. I need a lot of testing and a lot of rest. This cannot happen without a living space that allows proper eating, bathing and sleeping. My service animal twin chihuahuas also have the best competent and affordable vet care which has been invaluable. Tucson has great doctors and good services for me and the babies.

Community Care

Last year I fled to my current domicile because of domestic violence and could not have done it without the help of everyone. Now I am not in an emergency but I am dispossessed and still very badly wounded. I lost my job doing legal research for various Palestinian freedom movements because of direct political repression from the White House and still have not been able to collect unemployment. However; I have a lot of information to share to my community in my research and know with your help, I might have a chance to take a generation of 7 years in a permanent stable home to give back and replenish.
