Carmen needs a little help from her friends
Donation protected
Hi, I'm Katherine Pfeiffer, and my daughter is Carmen Cicchella.
Just before Christmas Carmen was biking home when she noticed a neighbor child struggling with a dog. She went to help the boy and was viciously attacked by the loose dog. The attack was severe, dislocating and breaking her thumb bones, and causing severe tears to her hand. She required emergency surgery and pins to put her hand back together and will require more surgery and physical therapy to recover (blessedly no harm came to the boy).
Carmen’s livelihood depends on her strong hands, as she works as a chef and massage therapist and is primarily self-employed. She’s a good-hearted entrepreneur who focuses on others’ well-being, but right now she needs some help covering medical expenses and lost wages while she recovers. Legal recourse against the owners is not an option, as they have no insurance or assets.
We appreciate your consideration, prayers, and support as Carmen navigates this life setback. Your support will allow her to focus on her recovery, so she can return to productive work in the fields in which she’s trained and certified.
