Carol and Al Tyson

On Monday May 29th, our family was involved in a horrific house fire. Carol and Al were air lifted to the hospital and are both currently in critical, but stable condition. Brett and Sarah, Carol and Al's son and daughter-in-law, were also injured during the fire and have since been treated and discharged from the hospital. Al received burns on ~15% of his body and the doctors are hopeful they will heal on their own. Carol received burns on ~66% of her body and will need multiple surgeries. It is going to be a long road to recovery for both of them with Carol having a hospital stay of at least 2 months. We are creating this site for anyone that would like to receive updates on them, and also for anyone that would like to donate as they lost almost everything in the fire. We will try to update as often as we can.

We appreciate you wanting to support and send flowers, balloons, etc to Carol and Al, but unfortunately they are not permitted in the Burn Unit. Cards, pictures, and drawings are accepted and can be sent to:

Along with this, they can only have a limited number of visitors per day, so we will be limiting visitors to immediate family only. We hope that you understand.

We have already received so much love, support, and kind words from many of you. We want you to know that we have seen them, we deeply appreciate them, and we are telling them to Carol and Al everyday. We are so appreciative of all of you and the support system that we have around us.
