Carol and Erin Fire Recovery Fund

Hi, and thank you for visiting our fund page.

Yesterday, my sister Carol and sister-in law Erin lost their beautiful home in Santa Rosa.  Awakened at 2:30 am to a firestorm around them, they had 10 minutes to get out of the house.  They left with only their dogs, laptops and a change of clothes; they drove out as embers were raining down.  They lost all of their material posessions.  We are so thankful they survived.

Carol and Erin have helped so many people, I am amazed at how they never seem to stop helping others in need.  Whether making a meal, dropping off bounty from their garden, visiting a sick friend, loaning out their jeep...they have cared for our mother in their home, the list goes on...  always with their good humor and cheer.

Now Carol and Erin can use some help getting back on their feet.  They need to purchase clothes, gear for the dogs, tools...all the many objects needed for daily life.  This is to help them get started, it will take some time.  They are planning to rebuild.

We are also trying to find a place they can live temporarily while insurance gets sorted out.  Any information on a short term, furnished place would be appreciated. Duke can be a bit protective so a private place with no other dogs would be best.
