Carol Angelo-Najera Memorial Fund

Dear Family and Friends,

My name is Michelle Najera, and it is with a heavy heart that I share the loss of my sister-in-law Carol Angelo Najera. Approximately five years ago, my brother Matthew and my sister-in-law Carol came to me and informed me that she had been diagnosed with gastrointestinal cancer. Unfortunately, the doctors told her there was not much they could do for her and told her she should start checking off her bucket list. However, Carol and Matt were unwilling to give up, so they began her fight to live. Finally, with the help of co-workers, friends, and my cousin Elizabeth Macias, Carol was given a chance by the fantastic doctors at Keck Medical Center of USC and Norris Cancer Center. For five long years, Carol endured the struggle that is Cancer.

Carol never complained and made every effort to be there for her beloved family and friends despite her diagnosis. Unfortunately, on Thursday, February 17, 2022, Carol lost her battle with Cancer; God has gained another angel. Carol is survived by her loving parents Lydia and Danny Angelo, her husband Matthew Najera, and most importantly, her beloved daughter Ashley Hope Najera. Not to mention the numerous family and friends she made along the way. As the family adjusts to their new normal without Carol, I would like to ask your help in providing a donation to help them during this difficult time. Your support will help cover some of the expenses that Matt and Carol incurred during her illness and assist with some of the things Matt and Ashley will need in the immediate future. Please feel free to share this message with family and friends who knew Matt and Carol.
