Hello, my name is Keri Freeman I’m the daughter of Carol Ann Boone Freeman who was killed Thursday, January 25 from a burning inferno caused by an electrical fire stemming from a faulty air controller.
Carol Freeman worked as a teacher at Lynwood Unified School District for over 30 years to be able to finally retire in Atlanta with a house on the lake.
As a single parent who often worked two or three jobs, after years of devoting herself to special education finally was able to acquire her dream house.
According to the authorities, Carol became trapped inside a bedroom and unable to escape the smoke and flames and was burned over 80% of her body. She was transported 30 minutes away to a trauma center but because of additional inhalation injuries the hospital was not able to save her.
Being the person that she was - she did carry insurance to fix the home, and benefit her immediate family. We are okay and not in desperate need of help to cover any expenses.
However, we are raising money to enhance Carol Freeman’s memorial service to be held Monday, February 5th, 11am at WD Lemon Funeral Home in 300 Griffin Street
McDonough, GA 30253.
