Supporting Carol Doskey, Ken Moberg and family

2 1/2 years ago, Ken and Carol, along with their sons, fled the Santa Cruz mountains as fires overwhelmed and devastated their home, and their community. The cliche, "they left with only the shirts on their back" is true. Ken and Carol have had to rebuild their lives starting with buying the most basic of items we use every day without a thought.

2 1/2 years later, Ken, Carol, Jonathan, and Thomas are working to rebuild their family home in Boulder Creek. While the framing of the house is now in place, the settlement received from insurance is not sufficient to complete the reconstruction of their home. Contractors are gone and the remaining work needed to live in their own home - after 2 1/2 years - has been left to their own sweat equity

Recent CA storms have further eroded their land, piling up expenses just to stabilize their property.

When people go through unimaginable tragedy, there is so much love and support …at the start; but today, 2 1/2 years later, Ken and Carol could use our continued help.
