Please help Carol get to her specialist Dr. appt

Hi, my name is Carol and I'm 53 years young! I am an Ankylosing Spondylitis warrior with spinal damage and extreme chronic pain, Psoriatic Arthritis and Fibromyalgia, living in Bushnell, Florida. I have lost everything tangible due to this disease; (and the pandemic combined), my  home, a small up north Michigan restaurant, and so much more! No matter how bad my pain was, I pushed and worked very hard my whole life..... Until I couldnt! While I moved from Michigan, where I spent my entire life, to Florida last October due to my deteriorating health, I still have not found all of the specialized Doctor's I need for continuing care. I was finally 'officially' REdiagnosed with A.S. in April.....after suffering 35 years! My goal now is to find a biologic that helps me so that I can stop taking all of the medications I've been treated with since 2009. (Biologics are medications developed from living organisms to treat autoimmune diseases and cancer, usually administered through injection) I pray that I can make it to my Michigan specialist appointment in July, and now that I've started the process of finding the right biologic, that it can be my last specialist appointment in Michigan.

While I have my plane ticket, the out of pocket Dr fee, cortisone spinal injection, medication costs and food will cost over $600. I am desperately waiting on a decision from S.S.I. so that I can have a small income and finally have health insurance!

 

A few kind people mentioned that I have given so much when I had anything to give, it may be my turn to receive. While I am so grateful to those sweet, loving people.... and I do not want to suffer more than I already do, it is very difficult for me to ask anyone for money for anything.
