Carole Mullen Emergency Housing
Very early Friday morning, Carol's house in Llyodsville"broke." Half of the house literally sank, jamming all windows and doors, trapping the family in the home. Her, her daughter, and two grandchildren had to be rescued by firefighters out of a window. Geologists from the DEP reported it was mine subsidence. Unfortunetly, she did not have mine subsidence insurance. The house is condemned and will be a total loss.
Carol Mullen. She would give the shirt off of her back for a stranger on the street. Always willing to lend an ear and help if she could. Carol is a fierce Stubborn woman, who rarely if ever... asks for help. That is where I come in.
My name is Jenni Kees. I have known Carol for most of my life (Family Friend). If you know her, you know she has been through a lot. Today, I saw her like I have never seen her before, hopeless; and it nearly broke me.
If Carol has ever brought a smile to your face, please help me by proving to her that she has the support of her community, her friends, and family.
The funds will be used to find Carol and her family immediate shelter (rental unit), help with essentials, and to start over.
I will post updates and photos of the house when I am able. Anything and everything helps. Thank you.
