Carol's bone marrow transplant was successful!!!
Thomas had a chance to speak with her this morning and she is doing well,
sounding like Carol, energetic and more like her usual self!!
Her white blood cells were up for a few days, but today they came down a little bit.
All in all, she is feeling stronger!!

Update 2/13/24 1pm
Carol will be leaving the hospital today and get to go home! She is very excited about this. She will get to stay home until she goes to Emory or where they ultimately send her; she is hoping this will be in the next two weeks. She will not be able to have any visitors, but we are working on some meal ideas that I will share in the near future.
Halyards is planning a fundraising dinner and car show for Carol Workman on Sunday, February 25th, more details to follow on here and through our social media very soon. Reservations will be taken by phone only. Please call Halyards Restaurant at [phone redacted] to secure your spot for this very special evening.
Update 2/10/24 5pm
Carol just called and let us know the doctor has officially put her on a NO visitor status. Thank you all who did go see her and put a smile on her face.
Update 2/10/24
Carol is in good spirits when we talked to her today. However, she can't even talk about the amazing support without breaking down. She is so overwhelmed and humbled by everyone’s messages and support.
At this time we are able to share the following…
Not producing blood
Bone marrow is toast
Waiting on final treatment plan, most likely at Emory but not 100%
Preliminary stages of bone marrow transplant.
She can still continue to have visitors at this time at the hospital. Should she go home in between the hospital and Emory or where they ultimately have her go for treatment, she will not be able to have any visitors.

Here at Halyard Restaurant Group, we aren't just staff, we are family. We would not be Halyards if it weren't for our team members.
Today we are here to ask you to come along side us to provide support to one of our most treasured team members.
If you have ever stepped foot in Halyards, you probably know Carol. She loves fast cars, good red wine, and is always there for not only her customers, but all of her co workers. Next week on Valentines Day will be Carol's 13th anniversary with our restaurant group. Carol has worked with us and been apart of the teams at Tramici, Halyards, and Halyards Catering.
We have always been able to count on Carol to help out a fellow team member, she is always the first one to volunteer to pick up a shift, or come in on her day off.
About a week ago she simply thought she strained her ankle, but wouldn't go in. This week her husband insisted that she go get checked out, she unfortunately received bad news. At this time they are running some final tests before transferring her to Emory Hospital in Atlanta.
Carol will be unable to work for the unforeseen future and we want to come together as her restaurant family and community to support her and her family all that we can. Carols household counts on her hard work and dedication and she will now have no income. Please join us in supporting the uncovered household expenses and all the medical expenses that will be incurred on this difficult journey.
