Carole's Chemo Medication

My Mom (Carole Davis) was diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer a little over five years ago.  Unfortunately, after successfully removing the cancer from her breast, it spread to her bones.  She has undergone, chemo-therapy, radiation and surgery.  After trying many different types of chemo treatments, some have worked to bring down her tumor markers and others have not.  Recent tests have shown that her tumor markers are up signficantly, meaning her doctor is wanting to try a brand new chemo medication.  After 9 weeks of waiting and being told different things by pharmecies and her insurance company, she was finally able to order the medication she needs.  Unfortunately, the cost is extremely high!  Even with insurance paying a portion of the medicine, her cost is over $3,000 for a months worth of treatment.  The cost is burdensome to my parents already growing medical fees.  They have applied for grants, but none are being approved soon enough for her to start the medication.  

Anyone who has had the pleasure of getting to know my parents will tell you, they are the most selfless, giving people you will know.  My Mom's attitude through all this has been sweet, and even through extreme pain you will never hear her complain.  I so wish I had the money to give her anything and everything she needs right now.  I am asking for help from all of you, because so many of you have asked how you can help my parents during this difficult time.
