Carolina Submarine Veterans Western Carolina Relief Fund

This page is created on behalf of all Carolina-based Submarine Veterans to support our shipmates, friends, and families in the devastated areas of North Carolina. I am the base commander of the Carolina Piedmont Base of the USSVI.

We have seven USSVI Submarine veteran bases in North Carolina and a memorial for submarines lost in World War II, located in Burnsville, NC. We meet annually in Little Switzerland on Armed Forces Day to remember those lost on submarines serving their country. The people in these mountain counties support us; we consider them family. Several members of our Asheville base have suffered severe losses and some are still unaccounted for.

Donations to this page will be directed toward those mountain communities that are the most remote and hardest to reach. All donations will be used in North and South Carolina. We will strive to use distribution organizations that have no administrative fees.
