My beautiful sister in law needs your help, Caroline has been a nurse for many years despite defying the odds against her qualifying many years ago.
When nursing on the COVID ward earlier this year Caroline became very poorly and was admitted to hospital with suspected COVID herself.
After enduring weeks of tests and being unable to hold any food or water down she was sadly diagnosed with gastric paresis and bowel dismotility, she is heartbroken that her career she loves has come crashing to an end.
Trying to mentally come to terms with the devastation that there is no cure for her condition has been complicated by the fact she can no longer nurse ever again due to high risk of infections - her life has forever changed!
Treatments available for her condition only aim at reducing and managing symptoms.
Caroline can't afford the pacemaker that is needed to help manage her chronic condition. This treatment is sadly not available on the NHS. She is desperate to try and gain some level of normality back in her family life which will never be the same. Simple things like getting out of bed and eating a meal with her family without feeling so nauseous and ill are now distant memories.
Without this gastric pacemaker, her symptoms are so severe causing her to endure lengthy stays in hospital away from her girls and Ian.
Caroline has spent years caring for others, even during the pandemic risking her own life to help others now is the time for us to help for her.
Please donate and help our family raise the funds needed.
This will mean the world to us and give caroline some hope in a heartbreaking situation.
Thankyou
