The purpose of this fund is to help our amazing, loving & strong friend Caroline, 22 and her family with recovery costs from a terrible accident that occurred in July of 2015.
On July 12th, Caroline was involved in an accident involving a large vehicle where she was immediately rushed to the hospital sustaining brain injuries. Discovering massive swelling and bleeding in the right side of her brain,
Doctors operated immediately and shortly after completing a follow up CAT Scan they discovered another bleed which appeared on the left side of her brain. They immediately rushed her into her second surgery and successfully fixed the concern.
Being watched 24/7 by nurses and doctors in the ICU at St. Michael’s Hospital in Toronto, Caroline has shown amazing improvement daily. It has been about 3 weeks and she has been fighting every day. She is now out of the ICU and in a wing specializing in Neurology where she can get the best care and attention focusing on her recovery.
After receiving a call from emergency services, Caroline’s family drove from Ottawa to Toronto and have been here for about 3 weeks, by Caroline’s side every day since. Since they reside in Ottawa they have had many weeks of leave from their job and more to come while Caroline recovers.
Caroline currently lives in Toronto and is an experienced freelancer in Film & Television. Working on multiple shows over the past few years she has quickly moved up in the television world as a result of her hard work, passion for television and awesome attitude and dedication.
The funds of this campaign will go towards:
1. Medical Expenses (Prescriptions, Medical Transportation)
2. Rehabilitation Services & Therapy
3. Out of town Expenses (Medical Appointments & Surgery)
4. Living Expenses
5. Medical Supplies
Any and all donations are appreciated. These funds will help Caroline and her family get back on their feet as her recovery continues! We ask that if you cannot donate that you keep the Marchand family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
All funds will be of full access to Caroline and her parents Jane and Richard once the campaign has ended.
