It truly pains us to announce the passing of Carol Jean Barnes (CJ), 49 years old of Cowley Wyoming. She was taken too soon from this life on January 4th, 2018 in Lovell Wyoming.
Carol Jean was born April 1st, 1968 in Powell Wyoming to Edith & Edward Barnes of Cowley Wyoming. She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, an intensely dedicated and caring sponsor, A valuable contribution to her community, and a friend to all who knew her. She was aspiring to become an accountant, while studying in Powell at Northwest College. Her enthusiasm and love for life will be dearly missed.
Carol is preceded in death by her parents; Edith Jean Barnes (Cook), and Edward Raymond Barnes.
She leaves behind her daughter Della Rose Wolfe (Mason) of Gillette; son John Raymond Barnes (Aubree) of Casper; sister Renela Marie Barnes (mike); brother John Warren Barnes (Carolyn); and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and many more loved ones.
A funeral service will be held at the LDS Church in Cowley, WY at 10:30am on January 11th. An additional remembrance service will be held in Casper, WY at a later date. These services are still being finalized, we will post updates on this page as we know more.
The family has already received numerous emails, texts and messages from people asking how to help. A GoFundMe has been created as a way to keep everyone up-to-date with plans, and also offer a place for messages and donations to be left.
The tragic way in which Carol was taken exceeds our capacity to understand, leaving us all in shock. As her loved ones are struggling to cope, I am helping the family with getting funds together, so Carol is able to have the sendoff she so deserves.
