Pettigrew Family Fund

We are asking for your help today for our dear friend Dennis Pettigrew and 8-year old daughter Lily. On September 20, 2018, after her near-2-year battle with multiple myeloma, Carol Bui Pettigrew passed from this world. Her battle was hard fought and she never lost hope.
As we grieve, we also rest in knowing her spirit is with Jesus. For those of us who knew her, she remains a part of who we are. Nothing takes that from us. As a wife, a mother, and “best friend” (called by so many), her gifts have made an impact far beyond her time with us.
In her honor now, and to the benefit of her beloved and immediate family - we humbly ask for a last round of financial support to help pay for expenses and transition costs that remain part of the battle Dennis is left to fight.
The need is urgent. Aside from medical bills that have mounted from exhaustive levels of daily care, additional travel and funeral expenses are forthcoming. Honestly, we know you don’t need a detailed accounting of these items to further pull your heartstrings.
The reality is 200 people stepped up to contribute to this fight nearly two years ago when Carol was still with us (giving more than $30,000 you already see raised as part of this fund). It was an obvious testament to who she was. Today we are re-starting the campaign. Like then, our prayer is that during this crisis season, we can all pitch in to support with financial assistance, prayers, and written messages of love and encouragement for Dennis and Lily.
Take a moment to remember Carol. She was the person who initiated love in action: calls, texts, and visits to stay in touch without excuse -- no matter the time or distance. She was the one who arranged coffee dates, lunches, birthday celebrations, baby showers, engagement parties... the first one you would call in a crisis; the person you knew you could share life’s victories and defeats. She celebrated you, comforted you, and cared for you – in good times and bad.
Can you please help honor her again by honoring her family now? Any amount is appreciated -- and your giving and sharing of this GoFundMe page will go a very long way (imagine if 200 people gave just $20). We send our love and appreciation to you and yours.
