Carpe Librum

Since the pandemic hit, sales have been down 80% from what I was expecting the bookstore to make, and two of the authors who were scheduled to do tea at the bookstore with their publishers understandly backed out.  Sales on the website aren't quite where I need them to be, either; I'm lucky if I get one or two orders a day, and they're always under $30.
Since I'm not sure how long the pandemic is going to last and I'm expecting sales this summer to be slow (July and August are generally slow for retailers), I decided it would be prudent to set aside enough money to cover the bills until September.  This includes rent, utilities, kitty litter, cat food, and a well-kitty checkup for Stan Lee. Stan Lee's well-kitty checkups can be a bit expensive; he has the feline version of FIV/AIDS, and my vet generally does blood tests, which requires extra vet  techs.
