How can you help?
Employment presents many barriers. Transportation in particular has hindered job placement and retention. RIC staff providing employment services have concluded that a van could mitigate some of these barriers. A van will:
*Transport refugees to interviews, work orientations and begin work in the short term as they endeavor to secure driver licences and move to car ownership.
*Incentivize more refugees to engage in our local work force as RIC staff have this additional resource to do home visits and make our programs more community based.
*Enable RIC staff effectively meet refugee case management needs that often require physical access to community providers.
RIC appreciates your financial contribution to purchase this Kia Sedona van to ease the integration process of refugees in our community.
"Kindness always returns.”
