Carr Family Medical Expenses

As many of you who are reading this are aware, a great friend of ours Tracy Carr, (family of Dave, Brynn, 16, and Kash, 13) has experienced an incredibly rare and unexpected medical emergency.

Just last week Tracy began experiencing some initial indications of medical complications which quickly took a turn for the worst. After a litany of tests and scans, they were finally able to determine that Tracy had a terrible Staph infection that has travelled through her blood stream and infected her heart.

After a life-flight to Inova, Tracy is scheduled to have open-heart surgery Tuesday, February 20th, to replace a valve and rid of the infection and stop the spread. Following surgery Tracy will continue to stay in the hospital for hopefully no longer than another week and then begin the real challenge, a long journey into recovery.

The Carr family has always been there for every single one of us through the many years of growing up together. They have served their communities (Dave a Navy veteran and current electrician for Dominion and Tracy a life-long Dental Assistant).

Although we are incredibly grateful for the wonderful medical staff who have been able to identify and help Tracy, there is no doubt that the Carr family will experience some extreme financial struggles with these new unexpected expenses!
