RISE GRENADA - Hurricane Beryl Disaster Relief
Donation protected
On July 1st, Hurricane Beryl, a Category 4 storm, devastated northern Grenada and its sister islands of Carriacou and Petite Martinique. Not a single building was left untouched and vital infrastructure was destroyed.
In response, we mobilized within days to deliver critical aid to victims. Our initial relief efforts have included distributing generators, chainsaws, fuel, water, tarpaulins, clothing donations, medical supplies, and food to those in need. This first phase of our campaign focuses on providing immediate relief and essential support to assist in stabilizing the affected communities.
As we looked to define our mission, we realized that while immediate relief was crucial, the long-term recovery of these communities depended on sustainable economic stability. This led us to our second phase: rebuilding small businesses. Small business owners are the heart of our community—they are our friends, family, and neighbors. When local businesses thrive, it means that people can work, support their families, and rebuild their lives. Supporting small businesses was the clear choice to assist in restoring economic stability and fostering resilience within the community.
Our group is made up of individuals with deep connections to the area, including long-time residents, visitors, and new transplants who all share a love for the Caribbean Islands. For Spice Island Marine, this is their community and family. Spice Island Marine was devastated in 2004 when Hurricane Ivan wreaked havoc on Grenada. Now on the year of their 40th business anniversary, they understand what it takes to come back from such a devastating blow and are eager to give back with the help of content creators, friends, and amazing customers. Hurricane Beryl has hit hard, and while the spirit of the people is strong, they really need our support right now.
We have launched this GoFundMe campaign to rally everyone together. They say a rising tide lifts all boats, so let’s see just how high we can lift it!
We appreciate anyone who is willing to lend a hand, whether by monetary donation or volunteering personal time to help with a specific rebuilding project. By partnering with the sailing content creator community, we hope to expand our reach with the goal of raising enough funds to rebuild many businesses. We are committed to transparency, ensuring all funds are used effectively to support our projects.
Thank you for your support in helping us rebuild this slice of paradise!
