Help Carrie During Medical Emergency

Hi, my name is Cassie and I am Carrie's oldest daughter. Thanks to everyone's overwhelming love and support! A lot for friends and family have asked in many ways to help my mom while she has had to go through this unexpected medical emergency. Our family has set up this GoFundMe for you and others to show your support and help take some of the financial burden and stress off of her during this time.

In the early morning hours of Monday March 25th, my mom woke up with extremely bad stomach pains and nausea. For hours she felt sick and finally called the emergency room to ask for advice. They told her to come in right away and when she got there they told her she was having a heart attack that very moment. After more testing and scans, they found that her heart had 98% blockage, that 2 main arteries needed to have surgery and that she has had 1, possibly 2, heart attacks in the past (and didn't even realize it). They rushed her in to surgery to unclog the arteries and after 3 hours they were only able to unclog one. Her heart and body was so weak they didn't want to risk unclogging the 2nd one until her body recuperated from the 1st surgery. They scheduled the 2nd surgery for Friday March 29th.

The doctors seem to be amazed that she is still here with us, that her heart has been through the ringer. We are truly so thankful for all the doctors at Sheboygan Aurora Hospital for taking such good care of her.

But with all that being said, this was all very unexpected and it's been hard to process with it happening so fast. Mom will have to do 3 days of physical therapy a week, change her entire diet and lifestyle and will have many doctors appointments, so I am trying to make it as easy as possible for her. She won't be able to work for some time. Anything helps, even if donating is not possible, sharing would help!
