Carrie & Michael Fairchild Hospital Expense Fund

Carrie took her husband, Michael, to the Corvallis Good Samaritan Hospital ER on Monday morning, because he had chest pains. Hours later, he underwent emergency surgery to repair an aortic tear. The doctors said Michael would have died, had they not come to the hospital when they did.

Medical expenses for the emergency room visit, subsequent surgery, and ensuing ICU stay, are going to cost them at least $20,000, even with health insurance. This is money that they just don't have. Also, there will be additional medical expenses for follow-up medical attention going forward.
