Carrie is part of our 1997 Lowndes High School class… Thanks to everyone for your support , concern and love for Carrie .Carrie is still bedridden 2 weeks after her 1st RCHOP chemo treatment. She has not recovered. Wednesday the Doctor put her on methadone for pain and she had an allergic reaction to it and is still hallucinating and shivering from side effects. She is back on Norco which takes most of the pain away and always works best for her.
RCHOP chemo on hold until she gets her strength back. It's so hard to watch her suffer. FYI, she came into treatment with no strength. She was suffering from endometriosis, fibromyalgia, undifferentiated connective tissue disease, erythromelalgia amongst other health problems. She has had 2 back surgeries in 2 months for a broken vertebrae where DLCBNHL was discovered in her spine and cancer entered the spinal canal. She had 10 radiation treatments. She was hospitalized for 3 weeks. We got home on Christmas Eve and we all got Covid on New Years Eve. 2 weeks later she started RCHOP chemo. And now L4 vertebrae has a fracture. They want to do another surgery before it gets worse. I am also a Stage 3 aggressive Gleason 9 prostate cancer survivor 3 years undetectable post treatment. I am sorry to share so much bad news, but that is our reality. She is an amazing woman. She’s doing her best to get through this.please let me know if you want updates . Otherwise I will let you know when she is feeling better. No judgement on our end. It's hard to get bad news about someone we love. Blessings to you. Prayers please ….we can’t take away her pain but we can reach out & help her family with some of the cost that are tied to helping her!
