carrie's birthday trichotillomania tattoo

It's my birthday on Thursday the 24th on March. I'll be 35. I'm really excited, as I always still am for birthdays.

Turning 35, though, will mark two decades of wearing wigs because of my struggle with trichotillomania (compulsive hair pulling). (I'm working on overcoming it. I have a really good therapist now. But, right now, I still don't have hair yet.)

Wigs can look lovely, but they can also be really uncomfortable, impractical and expensive, worn day in day out. & I just don't feel confident in hats. I want to feel confident and comfortable.

Someone recently suggested I get a head tattoo. & that might be a good solution. Something that will look cool even if I don't have hair. & I've found a really good tattoo artist & am really excited about doing something, finally, to make me feel better about my head.

So if you'd like to chip in towards me saving up towards that, that would really help & be appreciated. & if you can't, a happy birthday is appreciated too. x
