Carries’ Emergency Medical Bills

Hi all. I’m here to ask for help, for my mom. Everyone that knows her knows how creative, generous, and hard working she is. Unfortunately, hard work doesn’t get you everything these days, and my mom doesn’t have insurance to cover these costs as she works for herself, by herself. We all know she’s not a fan of her private life being put out into the world, but I can’t even begin to count how many friends she has and I will do my best to keep this updated.

On Monday, January 10th my mom woke up unable to move her neck, arms, or hands due to intense pain and numbness/tingling. She has since been admitted to the hospital and gone through MRIs of her brain and spine, revealing that something is obstructing a spot on her spinal cord. We are currently awaiting results of the most recent scan, lumbar puncture (spinal fluid draw), and there has been talk of surgery in the near future. It’s only day 2 of this journey, and my mom has had consults with neurology, occupational & physical therapists.

There’s no saying how long or what her recovery will look like at this point, but I need her to be able to hold my son again. I love my mom, and she’s always there for our family and my own family now. It’s our time to be there for her. Thank you.
