Throughout her life, Carrie enjoyed cooking and gardening and was an exceptional artist. Through the last phase of her life, she mastered the skill of drawing portraits. Carrie has triumphed through many waves of life but has never lost her faith, hope, and love. She lost both of her parents at a young age, was raised by multiple foster families, and then ventured out into the world with her sisters.
At the young age of 15, she met Scott, the love of her life. They were married at 18 and out of their love had 7 beautiful children, a half daughter and together they now have 16 grandchildren. Their love story was brought to a heartbreaking ending when Scott lost his life to cancer in 2011, after a 7-year battle. Since then, Carrie has taken on all the financial obligations and continues to provide for her family.
In 2012 Carrie was diagnosed with adenocarcinoma malignant neoplasm that metastasized to her brain. The team at Siteman Cancer Center has kept it under control until recently when the medication stopped working. A recent scan shows that cancer has metastasized to her bronchi, which has made it extremely difficult for Carrie to breathe.
This is where you come in. We are actively seeking donations to help relieve financial difficulties.
