Carrington Henry Medical Relief Fund
Donation protected
On July 4, 2019 Carrington was shot twice in the back of the head, paralyzing himself from the neck down. Before the injury, Carrington attended and played football at Garfield High School and was planning to continue his football career at Colorado State University.
Carrington was raised in the foster care system and became homeless in his freshman year of high school. Because his mother is homeless and his father is out of the picture, Carrington is financially independent and facing an onslaught of medical bills. He currently lives with his grandma and relies entirely on Medicaid for his medical needs. Funding will go directly towards a new manual wheelchair to regain mobility in his hands and arms (which Medicaid will not cover), various medical devices, and eventually tuition to attend Green River College.
Carrington is determined to overcome his injury. He recently took assisted steps and is gaining mobility in his hands. He dreams of studying criminal justice and becoming a social activist lawyer, yet currently lacks the resources to do so.
Any donation is appreciated and will undoubtedly go a long way. Thank you!
